Ace of Space
You know the Arctic Monkey's yeah? They're, like a band, who are proper cool and that? Well guess how they got popular? Go on, guess. Through the bloody internet, that's how. Through a thing called "My Space".
Now, I don't want you to get confused. The webpage you are reading now is called "Msn Space", and because it belongs to me, it's my space isn't it? Technically yes, but under copyright laws no it certianly isn't - this website is. It's like MSN Space, but "better" in the sense it is more of a tool to show how popular you are - and thus more than perfect for an entry on a blog entirely devoted to bandwagons.
The aim of the website is to get your profile up on there and show how popular you are by adding "friends". I am not sure why this is useful, but I presume this is some sort of game where the person with the most friends "wins". Again, I'm not too sure what the prize is in this game, but I think it is a signed picture of Zack from Saved by the Bell, who is the original guy who is friends with everyone, and most likely the inspiration for the website - if not the creator himself.
Not one to miss a trick, I have now got a space myself - visit it at http://myspace.com/bandwagonbest (naturally). Look at all the friends I have such as Lizo off of newsround, Barry Scott off of that advert and - yes it's true - Neil Buchanan off of Art Attack - each cooler than the last and increasing my street cred with each wonderfull add - and like most people on MySpace, they don't add any old rubbish to their friends list, so I am definatly in with these mega-celebs.
However, despite all of this, I have still failed you bandwagon-ites. Unlike the majority of people on this website, I haven't added a picture of myself in a goth-like pose as if I am about to kill myself straight after uploading the snap, nor have I added an annoying tune which you cannot turn off or a background with colours so loud and intrusive you'd think Jonathan Ross compiled it. You can change all that though - please add me as a friend and teach me the error of my ways and show I am the most popular one of all. Zack Morris demands it of you
